Many faces of Vitamin D!

The many faces of Vitamin D

First, I would just like to apologize for last week, we were so busy putting the finishing touches on my new suite of online educational courses that we were unable to put out our weekly newsletter. Which we will be offering here in less than 4 weeks!

Today we are going to discuss the many aspects or faces of Vitamin D.

In my clinic the subject of Vitamin D has become so popular hardly a day goes by that I don’t have a discussion about its benefits and how it works in our body.

Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that can be synthesized by our bodies and is also found in foods we eat. Vitamin D is also consumed through fortified foods that have been created from food manufactures.

Most people seem to know that Vitamin D is very important for bone health and preventing osteoporosis. But did you know there are many other benefits of vitamin D?

Research has shown that Vitamin D acts similarly to a hormone in the body, and may play a role in regulating blood pressure, weight and mood! Another recent study suggests that having adequate levels can protect against early fatalities from conditions such as cancer and heart disease!

If you struggle with insulin imbalance, and weight gain, again, you should have your vitamin D levels tested as this could be the culprit.

Mood swings are yet another unexpected symptom of Vitamin D deficiency. From periods of unexplained irritability to chronic Seasonal Affective Disorder (or SAD), and other mood disorders, there is a massive body of scientific research that links the lack of sunshine to an inevitable drop in Vitamin D levels. This causes serotonin (the happy hormone) levels to plummet in the brain, leading to depression.

More recent research suggests that inadequate levels of Vitamin D can adversely affect your immune function. This is the reason I would like everyone to understand that maintaining healthy Vitamin D levels is one way to protect yourself from seasonal colds and flu’s.

n rare cases when fat soluble Vitamin D builds up in our liver it can be potentially toxic. This is why I always recommend our patients have their Vitamin D levels tested and measured prior to use. Testing is available through a simple blood test in order to prevent any potential toxic build up.

So I urge all my readers to have their vitamin D levels measured and supplement if necessary. Remember educate, evaluate and empower yourself!

From my research together with all my years of clinical studies it has became obvious that the traditional system of healthcare just isn’t working. The number of people with chronic disease is epidemic in North America, with many dying years before their time!  All this because these people just didn’t get the life saving information they needed in time! This is the reason I created my unique 5 step method of healing, to address a wide range of signs and symptoms - that eventually all come down to just 3 major disease categories.

Do you recognize some of these signs and symptoms?

1. Chest pain, angina, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, headaches, poor circulation, fatigue, weight gain, obesity, diabetes, shortness of breath, light headedness, dizzy, indigestion, water retention, or edema which are all signs or symptoms of  ......Cardio Vascular Health

2. Nausea, vomiting, IBS, leaky gut, acid reflux, gas, bloating, distension, blood in stools, loose stools, cramping, pain, diarrhea, constipation, crohn’s, colitis, burping, heart burn, indigestion which are all signs or symptoms of ..........Digestive Health

3. Memory, focus, fatigue, concentration, depression, anxiety, insomnia, motivation, libido, mood swings, irritability, headaches, poor vision, tremors, clumsiness, coordination, tinnitus, vertigo, poor hearing,  which are all signs or symptoms of .....................................Mental Health

I thought you might!

Typically I find most people suffer from signs and symptoms in one of these 3 categories: Cardio Vascular Health, Digestive Health, and Mental Health!

My course includes a questionnaire, similar to what I use to evaluate my patients, independent testing I use in my clinics every day. My course also includes the various types of treatments that I use in my clinics every day.

For more information on these courses stay tuned to my newsletters for the official launch date!

About The Lost Wisdom Newsletter

As most of us have noticed over these last few decades modern science and technology have been advancing exponentially. Even in my short time here we have come from getting up off the sofa to turn a knob in order to change the channels on the TV. To lying on the sofa using a smart phone to operate and surf all 500 hundred channels! I believe in many ways people just take it for granted that new science is automatically the best science!

There is no doubt about the numerous benefits of newly discovered science and technology, however, we need to respect and understand the past and the science behind what we once thought of as just a simple life style and simple health practices! Practices our parents, grandparents and great grandparents used even though they didn't fully understand the science behind the benefits. They just knew these practices were beneficial, they just did not know the how and why. But now we know that our intuition was correct all along, and we have the science to prove it!

At that time experience and observation, empirical evidence, was the key factor in these older practices. Many of which were passed down from generation to generation with absolute conviction and trust. Remember these practices would have been stopped if their safety and effectiveness were in doubt. It was clearly defined over the years with no bias.

Unfortunately, as the generations passed these pearls of wisdom were forgotten, discredited and eventually lost. These pearls of wisdom are what refer to as lost wisdom!

Learn more about true preventative healthcare here each week, as I plan to get into other examples where it can be applied, as well as other relevant topics.
