HGH The Real Skinny!

#099

HGH the real “skinny:”

Anti-aging has been one trend growing exponentially around the world for the last decade. One of product that received a lot attention, and probably the most controversial is hormone replacement therapy or HGH (human growth hormone).

Most advocates of HGH focus on the fact that HGH has been shown to slow the degenerative aging process by accelerating repair of damaged cells, and also preventing cell damage through the normal aging process. Since every organ in our body is made of cells, the implications could be profound.

Healthy cells can optimise all cell functions, so you name it, HGH can potentially optimize it! As we age HGH levels normally decline and the aging progresses continues. Many people believe that by maintaining high levels of HGH that the aging process can be slowed or even reversed. This sounds like a win-win scenario, however....!

HGH can also stimulate cell growth, which can have negative consequences such as growth of unwanted tissue, one notable unwanted side effect is the growth of bone tissue. We can all recall images of HGH abuse where people look odd because they have abnormal bone development particular in the jaw or of the fingers. This can cause serious disfigurement.

There are suggestions that HGH may even stimulate growth of cancer cells! This is theoretical and not an established fact. As some critics feel that by restoring cell function that this could in fact prevent cancer cells from developing. So these are very serious points to consider.

Lastly, HGH therapy seems to only be affective in an injectable form. It also  needs to be taken daily for months on end, which can be very costly, averaging $300 dollars per month.

Alternatively, some people take various natural forms of HGH such as homeopathic HGH or secretogogues, which are substances that can increase cellular HGH production. Some of these products may have some merit, however, many of them have a poor track record.

The most traditional natural way to increase HGH production is to have a high protein diet, plenty of exercise, and ensure deep restful sleep.

What I recommend to everyone considering HGH therapy of any kind, is to seek out a professional assessment by an experienced Licensed Naturopathic Doctor who can evaluate your specific situation, and give you all the options available. So you understand all the benefits and drawbacks, allowing you to make an informed decision. Remember educate, evaluate, and empower yourself!

About The Lost Wisdom Newsletter

As most of us have noticed over these last few decades modern science and technology have been advancing exponentially. Even in my short time here we have come from getting up off the sofa to turn a knob in order to change the channels on the TV. To lying on the sofa using a smart phone to operate and surf all 500 hundred channels! I believe in many ways people just take it for granted that new science is automatically the best science!

There is no doubt about the numerous benefits of newly discovered science and technology, however, we need to respect and understand the past and the science behind what we once thought of as just a simple life style and simple health practices! Practices our parents, grandparents and great grandparents used even though they didn't fully understand the science behind the benefits. They just knew these practices were beneficial, they just did not know the how and why. But now we know that our intuition was correct all along, and we have the science to prove it!

At that time experience and observation, empirical evidence, was the key factor in these older practices. Many of which were passed down from generation to generation with absolute conviction and trust. Remember these practices would have been stopped if their safety and effectiveness were in doubt. It was clearly defined over the years with no bias.

Unfortunately, as the generations passed these pearls of wisdom were forgotten, discredited and eventually lost. These pearls of wisdom are what refer to as lost wisdom!

Learn more about true preventative healthcare here each week, as I plan to get into other examples where it can be applied, as well as other relevant topics.

Sincerely
